New Mass Effect 3 DLC takes Shepard back to Omega

EA have announced that the next single player piece of DLC for Mass Effect 3 is now available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The new chapter will take players back to the Omega space station alongside Aria T´Loak to fight off a Cerberus invasion.
Unlike other recent Mass Effect 3 DLC releases, this new update includes no new multiplayer maps or classes. Bioware seem to be happy to keep the online community alive with free extensions, while reserving the premium story content for paying customers.
Here´s the lowdown from the press release:
“Cerberus agent Oleg Petrovsky and his squadron have seized the infamous black market trade post known as Omega. As its self-proclaimed rightful leader, the legendary biotic Aria T’Loak plots her revenge to reclaim her domain by teaming up with Commander Shepard and another mysterious ally. They must put aside their differences and fight side-by-side to defeat the Illusive Man’s reign over the space station and free the enslaved people of Omega.”

The package will also include two weapons that were previously bundled in with pre-order bonuses from retailers, the N7 Valkyrie Assault Rifle and Chakram Launcher.
Omega is now available on Xbox Live and Origin, and will be launching on the Playstation Network in Europe on the 28th. The DLC will be priced at £11.99 or 1200 Microsoft moon points. That might seem a little pricey, but Bioware have a history of delivering the goods in terms of extra narrative. We´ll be adopting the wait-and-see position.
