A mate of mine from school, Cormac Kelly, earns his keep at one of Ireland’s most prolific 3D animation studios. However a while back he teamed up with a group of film buffs and whipped up this little gem in less than 4 days. Shot on the streets of Dublin, “Avatar Days” focuses on the relationship between World of Warcraft players and their online personas. No matter what you think of WOW culture, this is a facinating window into one of gamings largest communities.

That’s a phenomenal piece of work, as close to seamless as can be when you’re putting jagged wow chars into real life settings.

I thought that was really good.

It kind of weirds me out though when people treat their characters in this way. As if it’s someone they know in real life, using words like he/she instead of I or me…..I dunno…my two cents
