GTA V Trailer

Rockstar Games have honoured us with the first trailer for the upcoming instalment in the venerable Grand Theft Auto franchise, GTA V.

From what little we can tell from watching the short introductory video, GTA V looks certain to be set in a parallel version of Los Angeles. Look out for plenty of West Coast cliches like decadent movie producers, down-and-out actors and SMG-toting gang bangers.

It’s difficult to say much at this point, but it doesn’t appear that Rockstar are going to upset the apple cart at this point by varying the formula. The voice over suggests a story mired in the depths of organised crime and violence, while the pre-rendered graphics suggest a similar art style to the hugely popular GTA IV.

That’s our read so far, let us know what you think in the comments. Love it, hate it or completely indifferent?

Hopefully they will use the outstanding facial capture used in L.A Noire, and the rumors i have heard of several character arcs sounds intriguing change to the series.

Well, it’s not got as much of an impact as I would’ve expected, considering all the hype surrounding it. However, it does look like another beautfully presented game.
