Totally forgot to mention Super Metroid, in terms of atmospheric scariness there’s nothing that even comes close to it.

I’m sorry for all the comments on this, but I had to say this, and I totally forgot.
Props to Danny for bringing up the Langoliers. My dad made me sit through that four hour movie and I still have not forgiven him. Gah! But good job Danny. 😛

Also, I can’t believe that I forgot about something else that scared me.
The start up screen for the original Playstation. I don’t know why, but the sounds that played just scared me. I would always turn it on with the T.V. not set for the Playstation until I knew the screen was past. Masters of Tera Kasi by the way is an awesome game.

Have to say, I agree 100% with Tamoor on the scariest games being Resi 3 and Silent Hill. Manic fumbling of the pad was a constant issue once you encountered anything in those games.
I must say I owned all the Rick Dangerous’s?….. Dangerousii? on the Amiga. Great games. Rick was hardcore.
Can I point out the e-mail at the top of this page says Ci-tit-zen?
Good, fun listen this week. Keep it up guys.

Great podcast by the way, I’ve been thinking of a lot of topics covered and your insight is…insightful lol.

I’ve just finished the first Condemned and it’s pretty creepy. Fear and Eternal Darkness are the only other games that made me jump clear off my chair.

In regards to Borderlands, I definitely got that ‘Warcraft’ feel with the levels, classes, weapon loot and even the talent trees seem a little be too familiar. There is some new ideas but there are a lot of things that we’ve seen before.
However, I’ve been waiting for a game that matched RPG and FPS together and Borderlands seems to be a good contender. If they could make it into a MMORPGFPS (trips off the tongue) then that would be step forward and something I’ve been waiting for, for a while.
