After a six year absence the awesome Video Games Live! is finally coming back to UK.

Posting on Facebook two days ago, founder and host Tommy Tallarico made the announcement that the long-running concert tour will play London and Manchester this November.

If you’ve never heard of Video Games Live!, it’s a rocked-up orchestral extravaganza featuring a broad range of the most iconic music from video games. Expect to hear the likes of Mario, Sonic, Zelda, Halo, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Warcraft, Castlevania, Mega Man and more. See the trailer below for a taste of what the show sounds and looks like.

Having seen VGL three times before I cannot recommend it enough. Even if you’re not the biggest game or game music buff it’s something rather special. There’s nothing quite like hearing the eye-wateringly great renditions of classic tunes performed right in front of you. Each show also regularly features industry guest stars, competitions, dazzling lighting and special effects, on-stage contests and shenanigans, and more. You can always feel the love for the source material pouring from both the performers (particularly the energetic Tallarico) and the attendees which gives the whole thing a fantastic atmosphere.

Pre-sale tickets are available now with the full batch looking set to go on sale on Friday morning. Run, don’t walk people.
